The summer seems to have flown right by. School has started here. My great-nephew's first Junior High Football game is Tuesday. The geese and cranes are starting to arrive from their summer north. We're mostly unpacked and settled in. There are still a few boxes left in the storage unit, but those are for the garage or shed when we get around to that phase. We've completed the deck on the front of the house, and our next big project will be the backyard fence.
Summer Retreat Week
I've participated in Peggy Dean's Summer Retreat Week for several years. It's a week packed full of online classes covering a gamut of creative possibilities. This year, there were over 60 instructors in various creative capacities.
Retreat week was my first exposure to Procreate. It took me a couple more years before my first iPad and an Apple Pencil took me into firsthand experience with Procreate. Since then, I've fallen in love with the ability to take my art anywhere with me.
This year, one of my favorite Procreate instructors, Jennifer Nichols, had us drawing sassy fun cats. As you can see, mine ended up with a bit of a mischievous attitude.
I also took several of the watercolor classes, which have been added to the watercolor journal I started last month.

Sticker Update
I know there have been no new Quarterly Sticker Packs. I haven't forgotten them; I've just been working on a few other things.
I'm hoping to get my stickers into a couple of local locations. There is a gift shop in Craig, CO (about 40 miles from us) that is very interested in adding my stickers to her shelves, but she'd like some more Colorado-themed pieces. This columbine is one of the pieces I've recently created, as it's the Colorado state flower.
I'm pushing myself out of my comfort zone and creating more niche stickers for locations. I'll be experimenting with adding words to my work, but lettering isn't my jam, so there's a bit of a challenge there.
